Job Description

The Opportunity

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local labor and payroll regulations and the accurate, timely processing of payroll cycles. You will act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external payroll providers, helping deliver an excellent employee experience within a fast-paced, international environment.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate monthly payroll processes for assigned countries, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments through external payroll providers.
  • Provide payroll inputs for the calculation of salaries, benefits, variable compensation, commissions, taxes and statutory deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with local payroll, tax and labor legislation, including benefits administration, leaves of absence and employment-related requirements.
  • Manage new hire, employee change and termination documentation with external payroll providers.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, employee data and supporting documentation across HR and payroll systems.
  • Support payroll controls, audits and reconciliation activities to ensure data accuracy and process compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding payroll-related inquiries, delivering a high level of service.
  • Prepare payroll reports, data analysis and other management reporting as required.
  • Partner closely with other HR areas and Finance to ensure consistency and accuracy of employee data.
  • Support payroll-related projects, process improvements and system implementations as needed.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll administration within an international environment.
  • Experience managing payroll processes through external payroll providers.
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, labor regulations and payroll controls.
  • Advanced Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and lookup functions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal (minimum C1 level).
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential employee information.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams and time zones.
  • Experience processing payroll for France, Belgium, Germany and/or Switzerland is highly desirable.
  • Professional proficiency in French and/or German is a strong plus.
  • Experience working in multinational, high-growth or technology-driven companies is a plus.
